DC CLEAN RIVERS PROJECT:

The Clean Rivers Project is DC Water's ongoing program to reduce CSO's into the District's waterways - the Anacostia and Potomac Rivers and Rock Creek. The Project is a massive infrastructure program designed to capture and clean wastewater during rainfalls before it ever reaches our rivers.

ABOUT OUR SPEAKER :   

Seth Charde with DC Water is the senior manager for green infrastructure for the Clean Rivers Project. He will present a general overview of the Clean Rivers projects, including green infrastructure in the Rock Creek watershed and two massive combined sewage overflow (CSO’s) projects: the Piney Branch Tunnel and the Potomac River Tunnel.

CREDITS :   

This talk covers a variety of surveying educational topics. DCALS will award certificates for 1 CPC — equivalent to 1 PDH or 1 CE-Unit Credit Hour — to every licensed attendee.

MAGGIANO'S LITTLE ITALY, 5333 Wisconsin Avenue NW, Washington DC 20015 202-966-5500. The restaurant is located in the CHEVY CHASE PAVILION, on the east side of Wisconsin Avenue NW, half-a-block inside the District Line from Friendship Heights, Maryland.

COST : 

$55 per person. ($65 for all RSVPs on after December 2.)

PARKING : 

Chevy Chase Pavilion has a commercial parking garage, reduced cost with Maggiano’s validation. Friendship Heights station on Metro’s Red Line is right across Wisconsin Avenue. Street parking can be found in the residential neighborhood behind the restaurant – but limited to 2-hours.
