From the Editor’s Desk

I would like to take this opportunity to acknowledge the newest member of the JMPA staff, Ebonique Ellis. She has been performing the bulk of the work putting together the newsletter and I have found her to be willing and eager to work with the membership generally and with me in particular to produce and promote the newsletter specifically and to promote the profession on the whole. I look forward to working with her to create and improve the overall communications of the Society.

Be all advised that a major change has occurred (again) concerning the Survey Technology Program at The Community College of Baltimore County (CCBC.)  Scott Jeffrey has been named the new Program Coordinator for the program. On this topic, more enlightening and in-depth details will be revealed in the next issue of the newsletter.

Also in the next issue we will detail the preparations for dedication of “The Ralph H. Donnelly Memorial Calibration Baseline,” an EDM Calibration Baseline set by Appalachian Chapter members along the Western Maryland Rail Trail in and near Hancock, Maryland. This event will be part of our celebration of National Surveyors Week, WHICH AS YOU ALL RECALL, OF COURSE, is the third (3rd) full week of March each Year.

Finally, once again I note: This is your newsletter. If you or your chapter have anything of note that might interest or instruct our membership, please send it to Ebonique or to me so that we can get it published.

Until next time,

R. L. “Bob” Banzhoff, Jr.
