Speaking Out for Your Interests in Annapolis

It has often been said that one of the most valuable services any association can offer its members is a strong government affairs program.  One that keeps a close watch on legislative and regulatory issues that may affect your business or profession.  In order to be successful in achieving these goals, an organization must have a strong presence among legislators; have credibility, and be able to identify issues that are relevant to your profession.

Legislators have often told us how impressed they are about the depth of our "grassroots" efforts. When we were working on the Statute of Repose, many of them expressed that they had received more calls, emails and letters from our members on this topic than any other piece of legislation!  Very impressive, indeed.

Our goal is to be able to inform the MSS membership on issues that are important to and impact the profession. Our grassroots advocacy is successful by MSS effectively targeting legislators on the issues that impact the profession.

The MSS Government Affairs Committee is chaired by Tim Quinn who works closely with our legislative agent, William Kress, Esq. The Committee welcomes input from MSS members.
